CAIRO (AP) — Gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on a church near Cairo on Thursday, setting off a gunbattle with police, Egypt’s official news agency said. No one was killed.

The MENA news agency said the three attackers escaped after the firefight. It said police guarding the evangelical church near the Giza pyramids were left with scrapes and bruises.

Attacks on churches and Egypt’s Christian minority have increased over the past decade as tensions have grown with the country’s Muslim majority, sometimes exacerbated by officials.

Egypt’s Coptic Christians have long complained of being treated like second-class citizens. They now make up about 10 percent of a population of around 90 million, making them the largest Christian community in the Middle East.

Jesus Christ is Lord and God over all things – Like it or not. Believe it or not. it makes no difference. No man or demon or plan will ever remove Him from His Throne. Even if they plan to kill all the Christians in the world! This makes no difference to His position in the universe. Jesus Christ’s self esteem is absolutely secure! He does not need numbers (followers) to affirm His worth on earth or in the heavens! He is not insecure like other false gods who need to drive terror into people and force them to worship Him!!! He is WHO HE IS and He draws man with chords of love. No one can argue against someone who has a personal relationship with Jesus Himself and who experiences the power of the Holy Spirit on a personal level. Sorry for the atheists and antichrists out there. In fact all the protests, including Satan’s little tantrums throughout the nations, play directly into God’s hands anyway!! Everything will work out according to His plan, not ours! You are seriously losing out:D

Thank you for your comment Tania!

You are so right! God doesn’t need us, we need Him! However the world is full of pride and arrogance, believing that they have all the right answers, that they can do it all of their own accord, that everything which they have accomplished in life is of their own doing. How wrong they are. Without God we can not do anything! Yes, even the unbelievers. Everything comes from God, all things.

God will use all things for His good, according to His purpose! Amen

      God bless my friend! Maranatha!
