Commentary By: Gordon King
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
“God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I am has sent me to you.’ “
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
As Christians we should know God, we should have a personal relationship with Him. Most of us believe that we know who God really is, that we have an understanding of our Creator and what He has done. But do we really grasp just how great He really is?
We know that God created the heavens and the earth and all that they contain. We know that God loves us and that He sacrificed His Son, Jesus Christ, as a propitiation for our sins. But do we really understand just how big God is, just how powerful, and just how expansive? I know that I really don’t!
God, our Father in heaven, not just a person sitting on a throne in heaven, much, much more than that! Our God created every single thing and holds it all together! We do not know just how awesome all of His creations are. We do not know how expansive His realm really is!
All we really know is that God can do all things, that He is all-powerful, that He is love, that He is righteous, holy, and just, and that He created our universe. But how much do we really understand about our universe? And what about outside of our universe? Is there anything else which God has created outside of the universe that we know?
I believe that God is much more than we know of, that He has created things past the universe that we know of. Just how far and how much has God created? Just what lies beyond our imaginations, our minds, our thoughts and our beliefs? What mysteries are hidden from us that one day He may reveal to us?
God, Jesus Christ, much more than most of us give Him credit for. Greater than what we could ever imagine, bigger than we could think of! More loving, more kind, more powerful, this is our God!
While none of us know just how great God is, I do know this, that the Creator of all things is much, much more than I could ever imagine Him to be! Something to think about.
Thank You Lord for being You! Thank You for all that You have done, and all that You will do. Thank You for providing for us, thank You for loving us! I honor You, I praise Your Holy name, You and You alone are worthy to be worshiped. In Jesus name I pray, Amen
God bless my friends! Maranatha!
