Jesus Christ, the Power to Save!

Jesus believe in me and you shall be saved copy

Commentary By:  Gordon King

Our Lord in heaven, hallowed be thy name!  Blessed is the name of the Lord.  Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior of the world.

Our God is an awesome God, all mighty, all-powerful, there is no other name under heaven which can compare.

Think for a moment just who God is and what He has done.

The Creator of our universe, the Creator of all things, came down to earth which He created, as a human.  He came dressed as a human in order to better communicate and relate to us.  He came so that we might be saved from eternal destruction!

God in the flesh, as man and God.  Jesus Christ, the Lord of the universe and all that it contains!

He humbled Himself before man, before the very ones that He created, acting with humility and kindness, even to those who chose to do Him harm.

The ones He created took vengeance on the Creator of the universe, they killed Him, they murdered Him, and they nailed Him to a cross!  God, came into the world that He created, was killed by those He created, and died in the world that He created!  Yet, even still, He loves them and offers them eternal life.

This to me is absolutely amazing!  A God who would humble Himself before His own creation, would die for and by His own creation, and still love them enough to save them and offer them eternal life with Him!  How amazing is that?!

What other religion in the world has a God like that?  What other religion offers eternal salvation through its Creator as a free gift of grace and mercy?  None that I can think of.

What other God would continue to offer eternal life to those who totally reject Him and hate Him?  What other God offers forgiveness of all sins, offers to wipe the slate clean, and is willing to take all of the sins of man upon Himself?  None other than Jesus Christ!

God Almighty, Jesus Christ, Yahweh, our Lord, our Savior, the Creator and Sustainer of all things!

Without Him we can do nothing, we have nothing, and are nothing, but with Him we have everything, we can do all things, and we are the children of the Most High God of the Universe!  With Him there is hope!  Without Him we have fear and hopelessness!

Take a moment to reflect on God, on who He is and what He has done.  If you are a believer, ask yourself: “Where would I be without Him?”,  and if you are an unbeliever, ask yourself: “Where would (will) I be with Him?”

God gave His own life so that you could have eternal life with Him.  How much more could He love you?

Without God we have the fear of death and the afterlife, not really knowing what will come next.  But, with God we have no fear, for we know what is coming, and the afterlife is much better than the life we now live!

God is so good that even though He has done much more than we deserve, He continues to bless us, to guide us, and to lavish upon us the things from above!

And even though we have trials and tribulations, there is always something we can be thankful for, a blessing which comes from our God.

Our God, the most amazing, awesome, loving and kind God that we could ever hope for!  He is our God if we only believe!

Don’t waste your life running after hopeless dreams, trying to fill a void which can only be filled by God.  Someday, Jesus Christ will come knocking at your door, don’t turn Him away!  We don’t know just how many opportunities we may have to accept Him as our Savior, but they are limited!

Accept Jesus Christ as Your Personal Lord and Savior now!

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!

  1. Wow so beautifully said Gordon! Wonderful words of praise and worship and who our Awesome God is and what He has done for us through His Son, Our Lord and Saviour Jesus. Thank you Holy Spirit for inspiring Gordon to write these words. May many find this site and ask Jesus into their lives as Lord and Saviour. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Another powerful commentary Gordon!

  2. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter as a sheep to the sheerer yet opened not his mouth.
He had no form nor comeliness that when one would see him there would be no beauty for one to desire him.
That was then but yet He is returning as King of Kings and Lord of Lords every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.
