IDF says it aided Egypt in its search for a Russian plane that crashed in Sinai, likely leaving over 200 dead

(SOURCE)   The Israeli military says it has offered Egypt help in finding a Russian airliner that crashed Saturday in the Sinai region, most likely leaving over 200 passengers dead.

According to the IDF, a reconnaissance plane was sent to help the Egyptians locate the airliner after it had lost contact and was missing somewhere over the sprawling Sinai Peninsula. The army spokesperson said the IDF has offered additional aid should Egypt want it.

“Since this morning the IDF assisted with aerial surveillance in the efforts to locate the Russian airplane that lost contact over the Sinai Peninsula. The IDF has offered continued assistance to both Russia and Egypt if required,” a military statement said.

The Airbus A-321, operated by Russian airline Kogalymavia with registration number KGL-9268, was flying from the Sinai Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to St Petersburg in Russia when it went down in a desolate mountainous area of central Sinai soon after daybreak, the aviation ministry said.

The plane was completely destroyed and all those on board are likely to have died, the Egyptian security officer who arrived at the scene told Reuters by telephone.

Israel’s border with neighboring Egypt runs along the Sinai border. The two countries signed a peace accord in 1979.

  1. Gordon, I want to share these awesome ministries to, for, and in Israel that I also support
They are five separate ministries titled collectively as “Seed of Abraham Ministries.” You may already know about them.

    1. HOLYLAND MARKETPLACE, A non-profit labor of Love offering of Israeli products.
    2. HOPE FOR ISRAEL; making disciples of Jewish and Gentile believers in Israel.
    3. SEED OF ABRAHAM FELLOWSHIP. Christian and Messianic Hebrew roots congregration.
    4. TORAH cLASS.COM, online Torah bible studies from a Hebrew roots perspective.
there are about 400 free o.t. and n.t. free online classes at this site.
    5. LOVE ISRAEL.ORG, teaching Israelis about their Jewish Messiah in the Hebrew Language.

As a born again believing Christian who has been to Israel, I did not seek out or was advertised these ministries but I have been led to them and am privileged to support them.I have never been solicited for money or support by any of these ministries. It’s something the Lord has led me to help with.

They say that the hardest ministry in the world is to lead an atheist Jew to the Messiah of the New Testament, guess what? it is being done every day in Israel, (well! almonst) Messianic Christian Rabbi’s begin by teaching Messiah from Torah out of the Old Testament, Then go into the history, songs, then the prophets, that’s not really the hard part. Then the book of Revelation is encorportated to teach Israel its special place in God’s plan for redemption. They say that’s all the easy stuff even though it can be extremely difficult, Next is The “impossible without God” part which is to teach Jesus Messiah from the gospels and get them to believe who He is and what He has done for them. All in all it is a miracle at every step for a Jew to come to Christ and its never done without the Holy Spirit beginning in Torah. To see this happen blesses me mightly.

Us modern Christian believers have the Roman Road 5 point gospel and it’s heads bowed and eyes closed, dim the lights, sinner’s prayer, receive a tract, and it’s over in about 5 minutes for a decision, which I’m becoming more and more skeptical about as for winning true converts and not numbers. Not so with the Jews, it’s pretty much a thorough entire bible gospel presentation or not at all. The finishing touch for a Jew to receive Christ is when he comes to believe in and follow Jesus as presented in the four Gospels, It’s generally a long road but once conversion takes place it’s the real deal, no false conversions.
I thought it would be interesting to share this with you.

I’m blessed to share with you, for the Lord’s Glory
    Maranatha, Ethin
