What if Nothing Happens in September?!

This month is more than half over and there are many signs which have not happened as of this date, such as the blood-red moon tetrad, and the Popes visit to Congress.

Many believers expect something big to happen this month or the month after, such as the rapture of the church or a major war with Israel in the Middle East.  But what if nothing happens?  What then?  Do believers get discouraged and lose faith?  Do many even go so far as to walk away from the faith?

No one knows the hour of Christ’s return for His church, Jesus Himself tells us that.  So, before we get too excited, lets remember that! 

These signs are just that, “Signs”.  They are here to warn us of the times that we are living in, the end times, the last days, the days before the return of Christ to earth.  They are to lead us to Christ, not drive us away!

And so is bible prophecy, it is written to bring us to God, and to keep us close to Him, not to deter us or anyone else away from God.

Bible prophecy is not written to frighten believers, on the contrary, it is written to give us hope, to show us that when these things come to pass we might have more faith.  However, with that being said, it can frighten the unbelievers!  Many of which may turn away and run from God, instead of seeking Him out.  This my friends is a shame!

We all see things from our own perspective, we all have different experiences in life, and not one of us sees things exactly the same way.  Some of us are more mature in our faith, and can see things more clearly than others.  Some of us have been given more clarity and insight from the Lord in different spiritual things.  We can all teach and learn from each other.

Those of the world however, do not have the eyes to see, nor the ears to hear the truth.  Not until the Lord gives it to them.  They may not understand what is happening in the world and to the world.  They will try to rationalize things, and use the standards of the world to make sense of it all.

It is up to us as believers to try and explain things to them from a biblical point of view.  However, we can only do this if the Lord has first given them the ability to see and understand.  Only after He has softened their heart, and given them the eyes to see clearly will they be ready to hear the truth!

So what then can we do to show the world the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ?  How can we tell them that there is hope, there is a better way?  That my friends is where we let the light of Christ shine through us! 

Ours as believers in Jesus Christ is to love, have mercy and kindness, act with forgiveness and grace.  We are to be different from those who are of the world, a peculiar people!

The world is falling apart, but as I see it, it is actually falling into place!  God’s plan and purpose, His will, is in fact happening right before our very eyes.  Like a puzzle being put together one piece at a time.  At first it doesn’t make any sense, but as more pieces are put together, then we can see more of the big picture, until finally when it’s all done, we can see the whole picture, from God’s perspective!

Each and every one of us has a role to play in putting together the puzzle.  The light that shines though us illuminates the pieces of the puzzle, so that we can bring hope that one day the puzzle will be completed.

God has a plan, and God is in control of all things.  Our will may be different from God’s will, and therefore we may get discouraged when what we think should happen does not occur, or at least when we think it should occur.  My point is that if the rapture doesn’t happen within the next month or two, then don’t get discouraged!

God is good, and His ways are perfect!  He is patient and does not want anyone to perish.  We must always remember that when we are impatient with God’s plan.  What we see as right, just may be wrong!  When we think the Lord will return for His church, just may not be when He will actually come!  Remember also that He comes like a thief in the night!

The main thing that we should be concerned with now is leading the lost to salvation!  Performing God’s will on earth as it is in heaven.  Loving those in need, comforting those in pain and suffering, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and sheltering those without a roof over their heads.

God loves us all no matter what we have done in the past or what we do now.  There is nothing that we could do to earn God’s love, or to make God love us more!  God loves us whether or not we are sinners or saved.  This is what the world needs to know.  But they also need to know that without God they will not enter the kingdom of heaven!

Believe me, I want nothing more than for the rapture of the church!  However, there are also many loved ones in the world who most of us do not want left behind.  And for this reason God may tarry.  Besides that, no one knows when He is coming!

Brothers and sisters in Christ, do not be discouraged if bible prophecy does not happen like or when you want it to or think that it will!  Let’s be patient and know that the Lord is perfect in all of His ways.  Know that someday soon we will be in heaven with our Lord and Savior!  Sitting all together at the wedding feast of the Lamb!
