God’s Love Never Ends

peace and comfort from God copy

Commentary By:  Gordon King

As a Christian we should not fear the world, nor should we be afraid.  We are not to worry about what will happen, but instead have peace, the kind of peace that only God can give us.

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

God is good and He is always with us, yes even in times of trouble, through times of trial and tribulation we often feel as though God has left us, that He is nowhere to be found.  When God says that He is always with us and shall never leave us, then that’s what it means!

I don’t know about you, but often times when I am going through dark times I don’t always sense God’s presence.  I feel as though maybe I have done something wrong and He doesn’t want to be around me.  This could be further from the truth my friends and a lie straight from the pit of hell!

The devil feeds us lies and untruths in order to separate us from the love of God.  Don’t be fooled or led astray, listen to the Spirit of the Lord and know that He is always with you!  Amen

Nothing that we do in this world will separate us from the love of God, nothing!  Just as nothing we could do will earn us salvation or extra points with God.  We are saved, sealed, and sanctified by the blood of Jesus, nothing more, nothing less.

Once we truly understand this, once we know that God will always be with us through good times, bad times, indifferent times, then we will begin to see the big picture in a different light.

Don’t get me wrong here, we can alter our relationship with God, but He is still with us.  Our relationship with God can grow and flourish, or it can wilt and decay, all depending upon what we put into it.  God is always ready, willing, and able, it’s up to us if we choose to build upon it and grow in our faith.

God loves us so much more than we know.  He is more than willing to help us, comfort us, and bless us.  We only need to have faith, to believe, and to give Him the lead.  By placing God first in all things we are trusting Him to perform His will in our lives.

God will listen to us, He will answer our prayers.  While it is often difficult to see the whole picture during the middle of a trial, we must try.  Viewing our situation from a godly perspective can shed a new light and give us hope and understanding.  By godly I mean from God’s perspective, from a heavenly perspective, not from our own.  A perspective from scripture, from the word of God.

We need to remember God’s promises to us, we need to absolutely believe that what He tells us is the truth.  We need to be aware that the devil and his minions are continually trying to bring us down by placing lies in our minds.  Many Christians believe that they must be perfect, that if they ever sin then they are unworthy of God’s love.  This is just not true.  God never told us that and it is not scriptural, it’s a lie from Satan!  If we sin, then we need to repent and ask God to forgive us, and He will.  Then we need to get back up and continue on as a believer in Jesus Christ.

Could you imagine for a moment, that if every believer in Jesus Christ sinned (and they do), God would walk away from them.  That He would deny them entry into heaven, and would not be with them.  That He would be so angry with them that He would be sorry that He gave His life to pay for our sin debt.  What would the world look like then?  Who would be left for the bride of Christ?  There would be no saints on earth or in heaven.

Christ gave His life to pay for all of our sins, past, present, and future, period!  We are forgiven forever!  By believing this and knowing this should put confidence and faith into all believers.  It should give us strength and courage to do God’s will on earth.

God bless my friends!  Maranatha!
