(SOURCE) A United Methodist body approved proposed legislation that would, among other things, allow clergy to perform gay marriage ceremonies and local conferences to ordain non-celibate homosexuals.
The Connectional Table voted 26 to 10 in favor of proposed legislation that would allow clergy to perform gay weddings without concern of facing church discipline or to be “openly self-avowed practicing homosexuals.”
While the proposal was passed by the Connectional Table, the General Conference, the denomination’s top lawmaking assembly, will determine if it becomes official policy when it meets next year in Oregon.
“If this legislation passes, clergy would not risk church trials or the loss of their credentials for officiating at same-gender weddings or, in some conferences, coming out as openly gay,” reported the United Methodist News.
“At the same time, the proposal notes that the denomination ‘historically has not condoned the practice of homosexuality and has considered the practice incompatible with Christian teaching.’ It also retains the denomination’s ban on using church funds ‘to promote the acceptance of homosexuality.'”

The church is moving more and more toward secularism then pure Christianity. There is only ONE way to the Father and that way is through/in Jesus Christ Himself. Any other way is a lie, and comes from the father of lies.
Dear Lord, Help us to understand, to discern the truth from all the lies. YOUR word, never changes. You Father, are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. We are the ones that need to change, we are the ones that need to repent and come back to your saving grace. We are the ones that need to be connected to You, we are the ones that need to open our hearts and let You come in, with prayer and obedience. Help us to talk to You candidly, honestly Lord. Open our eyes to see…TRUTH. It is sorely missing in this last generation. And this generation needs You, Lord.
Father, help these misguided individuals, these church leader to see truth, to see Your light. Let them see that what they are doing is moving away from true Christianity. Help us all Lord, to those who know You, strengthen us, to those who are on the fence – courage to take the next step towards Your grace, Your love. To the fallen to come to know You, the true Creator of all. In Your Holy Name Jesus. Above all let Thy will be done to the glory of Your name, Amen.
