A United flight from Las Vegas to Houston skidded off the runway when it landed at IAH
HOUSTON (KTRK) — Airport officials at Bush Intercontinental Airport confirm a United flight from Las Vegas to Houston has skidded off the runway and into the grass. There are no injuries.
The spokesperson says two wheels of the aircraft went off the runway as the flight was landing around 5:30am this morning.
“It was a slam down on the runway and we skidded right off,” passenger Donna Mason told Eyewitness News. “I could feel the plane shimming off, and we went off the runway and into the soft grass.”
Emergency crews on scene are in the process of shuttling passengers off the plane onto busses to get them into the terminal and onto any of their connecting flights.
