Commentary By: Gordon King
As the world falls into a dismal abyss, parts of the church are following suit. Apostasy of the church is in full swing. I just received notice that a church known as “Reconciling United Methodist”, has a website which reposted one of my articles (United Methodist Bishop Rules That Lesbian’s Clergy Candidacy Can Proceed).
I have visited their website (http://www.rmnetwork.org/) and was a little shocked at what I found!
The following is a header at the top of their page:
“Creating space at the table for all God’s children.
Mobilizing United Methodists of all sexual orientations and gender identities to transform our Church and world into the full expression of Christ’s inclusive love.”
Sure, they speak of God’s love and grace. But they fail to mention that God calls unnatural relationships between men with men, and women with women as an abomination. Instead they embrace all sexual orientations and transgender identities into and a part of the church.
Leviticus 18:22
“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.”
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”
Proverbs 17:15
“He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord.”
Galatians 5:19-21
“Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
The bible makes it perfectly clear that homosexuality is a sin. It is an abomination to the Lord. There is nothing confusing about what scripture teaches us on this matter.
For a church to profess Christianity and practice homosexuality is an abomination and apostasy!
This is a time of great “falling away” my friends, do not be deceived. The world is turning very ugly and evil. God Almighty is weeding out the tares from the wheat.
He shall give the anointing of His Holy Spirit to the true followers of Jesus Christ. Those who believe in Him and His word. Those who place their trust in Him and do not twist His words.
This is not the time to sit idle, but to put on the full armor of God! We are in a spiritual battle my friends. We fight not against flesh and blood, but against evil spirits, powers, and principalities!
I believe that we shall soon see miraculous acts performed by God’s people. That the Lord is about ready to pull His church away from the false church. This is why it is so important to stand close to God, walk with Him daily, and put Him first in your life! God is about to do great things with His children.
I feel led by the Holy Spirit to write these things. Actually, I don’t just want to write it, I want to yell it out loud! We are in a time of decision. Time is so very short. Continue to shine the light, spread God’s word and the gospel of Jesus Christ! The Holy Spirit is moving quickly throughout the globe, searching for those who will take a step, take a stand, and hold fast to what is true and righteous.
God loves us all and wants nothing more then for us to love Him back. But, He is also Holy, Righteous, and Pure. Practicing sin and professing to love God is like trying to serve two masters, it just doesn’t work. Jesus told us that we cannot serve two masters, only one. Homosexuals can become Christians, and I pray that they do. However, they must also turn away from their sin and repent. Then and only then will they be washed clean by the blood of Jesus. This is the truth, this is the word of God, this is wisdom.
Practicing sin of any kind is rebellion against God. We must all turn away from sin, repent, and ask God to forgive us. This is a vital part of being a Christian, not actively and knowingly living in sin and confessing to love God! We all sin and make mistakes, but if I were out murdering people and said that I were a Christian would this be the truth? If I was a practicing thief or child molester and professed to being a Christian, would this be the truth?
I love all people regardless of what sin they may be committing. I want all of them to repent and accept Jesus. Will this happen? Unfortunately no. It is a matter of our heart, our mind, and our soul. God knows each and everyone of us. He knows all of our thoughts and our motives. He knows if we truly love Him or not.
If we truly love God then we will want to obey Him. We will want to be obedient to His word and all of His teachings. This is being a true Christian. It takes time, learning and discipline to get to know God, to build a personal relationship with God. Keep your heart in the right place, and your mind on the things of heaven above.
God bless my friends, until next time! Maranatha!
Very well said Gordon. I second your thoughts.
God is not happy with the directions most churches are going. There is going to be a rude awakening very soon…
Sin and rebellion is what brings God’s judgments upon the land.
God bless us all.
I have also noticed an increase of outright hostility toward Christians. An atheist group is suing the Gideon’s for handing out bibles to teenagers in front of a high school. They actually called them perverts who prey on small children. People could announce to a group that they are a witch, Hindu, Muslim etc. are immediately accepted but the moment you tell people your a Christian watch out! Christians are viewed as mindless sheeple and now terrorists. I feel like perscution in America is only going going to get worse.
Another thing I’ve noticed is Christians attacking Christians. I just read an article where a very angry man was condemning and calling believers who have bibles with a picture on the front or themed bibles false Christians. He said people who have anything but the new King James Version were akin to satan worshipers. How can such anger and misconception win souls for Christ? I cross reference many different bibles NIV, Amplified, the message, how can this be false Christianity? If I were a non Christian reading that article I would not have a very good view of Christianity. There are also Christian web sites that say preachers like Joyce Meyer are false prophets. These Christians say such mean horrible things. I know a couple of people that have been saved through Joyce Myers teachings. Why are these Christians so negative and judgemental against other Christians? Shouldn’t we all be encouraging each other during these hard times? It doesn’t make sense to me.
SweetJava, I feel things happening very quickly. Things are just not right. Even the earth itself is out of whack.
You’re right Rebecca. Christians are being portrayed as bad and evil, and this will continue to get worse as time goes on. Just as the Jews have been persecuted, so too the Christians. Why is that? I know why in my heart. It is because we worship the one and only true living God.
I have also noticed Christians attacking other Christians. In fact, I have even written many posts about it. I also get attacked by other “so-called” Christians claiming that I am a false prophet and teacher. They say that because I believe in a “pre-tribulation” rapture of the church, that I don’t believe you need to be baptized in water to be saved, and other things I don’t remember right now. They are down right rude, disrespectful, and hateful!
“Persecution of Christians by Christians. A message from God!”
“Let’s stop the bickering Children of God!”
“Christian Persecution…Let us Stand United!”
“Evil Spirits against Christians, against America!”
“Naysayers and Scoffers, another Sign of the Times!”
The fact is that there are many people who call themselves Christians, who are not truly born again. So we should beware of false prophets and teachers. But, after saying that, many Christians do attack other Christians for their difference in beliefs. Most of these differences have no bearing whatsoever on our salvation.
I have heard of Joyce Myers, but I don’t know her beliefs. I wonder why people are calling her a false prophet? I don’t know about all these different versions of the bible. I read the King James and the New King James versions, however, I could just as well read other versions, just my choice. I think that as long as the words and meaning of scripture has not been changed then its fine.
I have heard of a publishing company that was taking Jesus as the Son of God out of the bible to hand out to Muslims. They have also changed the name “God” and replaced it with “Allah”. This is totally against God’s word.
We should be helping, teaching, and encouraging one another within the body of Christ! Yes we should. It is written in God’s word to us.
God Bless Rebecca!
The last chapter of Revelation in the Holy Scriptures reads:
“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Rev.22:18,19
People are playing with fire (no pun intended) and they will get burn.
I agree with you Gordon, our planet is in turmoil of all the atrocities being committed. Judgment is coming and in some ways it’s already here. Stay in the grace of God, the true Heavenly Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly’ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” Rev.22:20,21
Thank you Gordon.
