Commentary By: Gordon King
Changes. The world is changing quickly. For the past several days I have felt the Lord leading me, and guiding me into the unknown (to me). I feel change coming to both myself and to the world in general. I sense that big change is coming very soon.
Sure, you may think to yourself, there is always change, the world is constantly changing. But this is different my friends. I do not know what is coming tomorrow or the next day. I see all of the evil and violence in the world, however, I sense that the Lord is telling me that big changes are coming soon. That’s all I know at this time.
I also feel that things are changing in both the physical and spiritual realms. That we have somehow crossed a line in the sand. That there is no turning back. This is how I am feeling in my spirit. Maybe you don’t believe that the Lord can speak to us this way, that for some reason or another we just believe in God and are saved, and that’s all there is to it. There is much more to it than that, more than “what meets the eye” so to speak. The Lord speaks to us all of the time, the problem is “are we listening to Him”?
I believe that as Christians, we reach plateaus and levels in our walk with the Lord. That once we reach a certain “peak”, He will lead us further in His will on a higher “level” or “plane” if you will. Sort of like being in the military, we reach higher levels in rank. I believe that this is also true for us spiritually speaking. When we reach higher levels, then the Lord expects more from us. We become more accountable to Him. I have felt this move in levels before, and I think that maybe I am reaching another level in my walk with the Lord. It may sound crazy to you, but to me it makes perfect sense. This may not be exactly how it works, but we should and can move forward in our walk with the Lord. And He does hold us more accountable the more that He places upon us.
2 Corinthians 5:10
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.”
For instance, pastors are held at a higher level, due to the fact that they are tending to the flock. Whatever it is they are teaching will be presented before the Lord to be judged.
“Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.”
I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, nor do I know where God will lead me. But, I do know that things are changing. I also know that the Lord wants me to focus more on devotion and teaching of His word, and not as much on the posting of evil and violence in the world. I will continue to post current world events, but not quite as much or as often. I will post more than I have in the past on devotion to the Lord, teachings of God’s word, and attempting to encourage and comfort our brothers and sisters in Christ; as well as leading the lost to salvation!
I feel that the Lord maybe leading me into another ministry, however, I am not certain of this yet. I shall continue to pray about it and ask the Lord for His guidance and understanding. As of this time I plan to continue blogging on this site. However, if the Lord does lead me into another ministry or project, then I will have to make time for it.
What I would like to say at this time is that we all need encouragement. We all need to know that God loves us and that He is always with us! We all go through trials and tribulations in our life, and the closer our walk with the Lord, the more we will get attacked from demonic spirits. Yet, the Lord is our protector, He is our Lord and our God. He has already won the battle, and He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world! Amen
Let us all give thanks to the One who has given us life! He deserves all of the praise and worship that we can muster, and then some. He deserves it all! Jesus Christ, our Lord, our Savior, our Protector, and our Friend!
God bless my friends, until next time! Maranatha!
