Sex, not to be taken lightly!

Commentary By: Gordon King

I’m no expert on sexual relations, but I have received this message from the Lord and I feel that He wants me to share it with you.  The topic is sexual in nature and may be offensive to some, however it’s written in good taste and is very important.

Pleasure, sin, hedonism.  The world views and opinions on sex, and sexual intercourse vary, but they mainly focus on lust and pleasure.  They view sex as fun and use it for entertainment, and in the right context it can be both fun and entertaining.  Yet that’s not what God intended it to be, merely a physical act for pleasure out-of-wedlock.

Many young people today who are not believers in Jesus Christ, are not seeing and thinking clearly.  If they were then there would not be so many women having children out-of-wedlock!  They have broken the ties that bind, they have taken what God has made holy and turned it inside out and upside down.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s not only young people who are involved in this, and I’m not pointing the finger at anyone, I’ve been there and done that myself in the past!

You see, God has made sexual intercourse (and sexual intimacy in general) as something that is holy and sacred.  When a man and a woman get married, it’s this physical act that bonds them together.  But it’s not merely a physical act.  For the Christian it’s very spiritual, binding the mind, the soul, the body, and the spirit.  For the unbeliever it binds the mind, the soul, and the body, however the spirit is dead until one is saved.

When we get married and perform sexual intercourse, we become one.  One in mind, body, and spirit.  This is how God intended it to be.  We are confirming and binding a covenant with one another, as well as with God.  It’s holy and sacred.  When performed under these circumstances it’s a very beautiful thing.  This is why we should not take sexual intercourse (or sexual intimacy) lightly.  It’s not to be abused and misused.

When a man and a woman perform this act, they are bonding to each other, whether they are married or not.  They have bonded themselves to each other, both in and out-of-wedlock.  This is much more than just a physical act, it affects our entire being.  It also affects God.  Out of wedlock, it’s a disgrace to God, a slap in His face!  An abomination to the Lord!

When a man and a woman commit this physical act and have bonded, then after they leave each other, the bond is still there.  This creates confusion and chaos within that individual.  This is one reason the world is such a mess.  Why young people grow up without parents, many without earthly fathers, this was not intended to be.  God made man and woman to be together, to unite in wedlock, and to become one.  To enjoy each other sexually, to bond with each other.  To give birth and have children, to raise the children, to populate the earth.  This is good, this is holy.

A man with another man sexually can never have this bond.  They can try physically, however it cannot be done.  This is unnatural, unholy, and an abomination.  The same with women, a woman with another woman sexually can never have this bond, it’s also unnatural, unholy, and an abomination.  It was never meant to be.

Satan has many ploys to destroy the works of Almighty God.  One of his methods is to alter the relationships between a man and a woman, a man and a man, and a woman and a woman.  He shall spread lies, deception, and the twisting of the truth to obtain his goal.  He will turn society into a “free for all”, a world of “political correctness”, and “anything goes”.  He shall turn beliefs and attitudes in favor of sex by any means, for all occasions, and by anyone!  This is what we are now seeing in the world.  These are the attitudes that are most prevalent in our society.  Acceptance of these beliefs and attitudes is most welcome in the world, however, strict adherence to what God Almighty tells us is the truth is not acceptable in our modern society.

The Lord God has blessed us all with a physical body.  One which was intended for union between a man and a woman, in marriage, bonded together, made one, holy and righteous!  This is good in the sight of the Lord.  This is pleasing to God.  Anything other than this is an abomination!

God gave us our bodies to enjoy with one another, in the right context and with the right person.  They were never intended to be used as sex factories, for sinful pleasures and lustful desires.

Let us honor our Father in heaven by obeying His commands.  By using what He has given us in holiness and righteousness.  Let us love one another always, and wait for marriage before having sexual intimacy.  Once married, sex is a beautiful and wonderful thing, given to us by God for our pleasure.

The Lord has spoken to us, He has given us His word.  Ours is not to reason why, but to listen and obey.  He is righteous, pure, holy, and sacred.  His word stands forever!  Amen

God Bless everyone!  Until next time….Maranatha!
