We all need Encouragement!

Encourage, support, pray copy

Commentary By:  Gordon King

The times of the end, the times in our life, the times of our daily struggles.  These are the times for encouragement, times to stand tall and be brave.  We all suffer from tribulation, trials, and temptations.  We all need encouragement.  The Lord is with us, He is here to strengthen us and uphold us.  He gives us courage, strengthens our faith, and comforts our souls.

Isaiah 41:10

“Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

 Psalm 46:1-3

“God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah”

The bible also tells us to encourage one another.  To build each other up with comfort, forgiveness, courage, strength, exhortation, and support.  To teach one another with love and kindness.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

“Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”

 Ephesians 4:32

“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”

 Hebrews 10:24-25

24 “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

 Galatians 6:1-2

“Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

 Romans 14:19

“Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

Pray for one another copy

We as Christians will suffer persecution, trials and tribulations.  Many of us will suffer loss and experience grief.  We will be tempted, and we will sin at times.  But we must continue to pursue the Lord, to seek the things of heaven above.  We need to forgive those that fall into sin, to pray for those needing healing, comfort, and peace.  The Lord has given us the gift of prayer, a powerful tool, we must use it often.

James 5:13-16

“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

Many things that happen in this life don’t make any sense to us.  We can’t understand why certain things happen to us.  Our ways and our thoughts are not God’s ways or thoughts.  While we know that all things work for the good of those that love Him, we must also know that He is with us and will see us through the storms in life.  Whatever comes our way, the Lord will see us through, as long as we put our trust and faith in Him!

John 16:33

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

 Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.”

 Psalm 91:1-16

‘He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.” ‘

If you are not yet a Christian and desire for God’s blessing to be upon you and your life, then accept Him now.  It’s the only way to have God’s blessings and eternal life!  The only way to have the God of the universe be with you during difficult times, to see you through the eye of the storm.

Accept Jesus Now as your personal Lord and Savior!

God Bless my friends, may the peace and comfort of the Lord be upon you!  Amen

  1. Amen! Gordon thank you for the encouragement.
    Scriptures gives us hope and reassurance as we wait patiently for Our Lord.
    “Do not worry about the wicked, do not envy those who do wrong. Quick as the grass they wither, fading like the green in the field, Trust in Yahweh and do what is good, make your home in the land and live in peace; make Yahweh your only joy and he will give you what your heart desires. Commit your fate to Yahweh, trust in Him and he will act: making your virtue clear as the light, your integrity as bright as noon. Be quiet before Yahweh and wait patiently for him, not worrying about men who make their fortunes, about men who scheme to bring the poor and needy down. Enough of anger, leave rage aside, do not worry, nothing but evil can come of it: for the wicked will be expelled, while those who HOPE in Yahweh shall have the land for their own. A little longer and the wicked will be no more, search his place well, he will not be there; but the humble shall have the land for their own to enjoy untroubled peace. The wicked man plots against the virtuous and grind his teeth at him; but the Lord only laughs at the man, knowing his end is in sight. Through the wicked draw the sword and bend their bows to kill the upright, their swords will only pierce their own hearts and their bows will be smashed. The little the virtuous possesses outweighs all the wealth of the wicked, since the arm of the wicked are doomed to break and Yahweh will uphold the virtuous. Yahweh takes care of good men’s lives and their heritage will last forever; they will not be at a loss when bad times come, in time of famine they will have more than they need.” … Psalm 37:1-19 (The Jerusalem Bible) This is just a few lines — I encourage you to read the entire Psalm, verses 1-40. It truly is promising, hopeful, comforting and uplifting. God Bless. Thanx again G. the Good Lord is inspiring you my friend.
