God is Alive Now!

Jesus is with us

Commentary By:  Gordon King

God is real, God is here, and God is now!  I don’t know how many times that I have said this, yet there seem to be many believers who don’t actually believe that God is here with us even now.  He is here among us now just as He was thousands of years ago as stated in the bible.   He is no different now as He was then and always will be, He is always the same and never changes.

The more that I study the word of God, worship Him more, learn more about Him and His ways, I feel much more enlightened and can see Him more clearly.  His ways and His thoughts become more insightful to me.

I can see Him in new ways, in a new light.  He fills our very souls, lifts our spirits, and envelopes our very existence.

God is love.  He is all-knowing and all-powerful.  He loves us all so very much, and all He wants from us in return is to love Him back.  Unconditionally, unaltered, and unwavering.  He just wants us to love Him!  He wants us to have a relationship with Him, one that is based in love, one that is filled with emotion and excitement.

I have come to the realization of just how much this is true.  I didn’t really understand it too much before, not in a real sense.  I mean I knew it, but I guess that I really didn’t understand it, not as I do now, nor as I will in the future.  It’s a learning process, a growing relationship, in the direction of God, in God, and with God.

Sin, we all do it, we are all sinners.  We should not focus our thoughts on our sin, we should turn from it.  If we focus on our sin, then our lives become our sin.  We should always strive to focus on God and the things of heaven.  Then our lives will be spiritual and of God.  This is what the bible tells us to do, to keep our mind and our thoughts on the things of heaven.  If we keep our minds on the things of this world, then our lives shall be of this world.  This may seem confusing to some and difficult to grasp.  But this is a simple concept, and one that I believe to be true.

God loves us all the same, each and everyday.  No matter what we do or don’t do, He still loves us the same.  This should ease the minds and tensions of all believers.  This should free us from bondage, and allow us to view the world in a different light, to view our own relationship with God in a new light.  Remember, it’s not about us, it’s about Him!

So although we still sin, which doesn’t make it right, we don’t have to worry anymore.  For God has already forgiven us!  That’s how much He loves us, unconditionally, without a hitch.  In His eyes we are already made perfect, if not then it would be impossible for us to commune with Him.  Through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, our sins have been erased and our robes made white as snow!

However, when we continue in sin and are not walking with the Lord, we distance ourselves from Him.  If we sin and are not walking with the Lord, then it becomes more difficult to hear God and to listen to God.  When we turn from our sin and seek the Lord, then He becomes more real in our lives.  He will enlighten us, give us more insight, more understanding, more wisdom, and greater vision into heaven.  All sin is rebellion against God, it distances us from God, just as with the prodigal son.  God has forgiven us of all sin, yet if we are not in a close personal relationship with Him, and we continue in sin, then we are distancing ourselves from Him.

God loves us and wants to bless us, to give us the desires of our heart.  The only way for this to happen is to be walking closely with the Lord.  Then we can receive His blessings in ways that we never imagined.

God Bless my friends, until next time!

  2. Amen, Gordon.
It’s in His righteousness we stand! The knowledge of Jesus Christ is the one who can redeem us, saves us. We need to draw closer to Him, looking up instead of the chaos in the world. Helping our fellowman to understand Jesus IS the way, the truth and life. By showing our daily commitment to Christ we diligently bear the fruits of the Spirit. “…To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2Peter1:1-4 Turn to and Grow in Christ for the times are at hand for each of us to declare with whom we stand. May Grace and peace through the knowledge of Jesus Christ be with you all. Stay faithful, praying always. God Bless.
