Commentary By: Gordon King
It was two years ago, not quite to the date, that the Lord led me to start this blog. The main purpose was to watch for end time signs, and to warn the world of what is happening. To make known the signs that are all around us leading to the soon return of Jesus Christ! Of course that’s not the only purpose of this blog, it’s also to hopefully lead others to salvation and help guide them along their path.
I am not perfect, in fact I am far from it. However, I am pursuing the path that the Lord has led me down. I am learning and growing along the way. The path is not an easy path, nor is it always smooth. It’s a path of righteousness, truth, and sanctification through my Lord Jesus Christ.
“14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
God uses believers in many different ways, not all of us have the same calling. Some of us may be doctors, lawyers, and others of us may be daycare workers, plumbers, or stay at home mothers. The same is true of how God uses us according to His will and for His purpose. Some of us give our time at church, some through giving, some through missionary work, some through preaching, and some through helping the needy. Jesus also tells us to spread the gospel throughout the world.
‘15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” ‘
But that’s not all He tells us to do.
‘ “19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.‘
“35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”
We are to observe “all things” which Christ has commanded us to do. This includes spreading the gospel, making disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and “Watching”!
What does He mean for us to “watch”? Taken in context of scripture He is telling us to watch for the signs of the times so that we will know the closeness of His return and the end of the age. He is also telling us to watch in order not to be deceived, and to be prepared for His coming. Jesus speaks many times about the deception in the end times. This must have been very important to Him since He emphasizes it so much.
In order to watch for deception, lies, and untruth, we must uncover and expose them for what they really are. We must be awake, alert and aware of the deception around us, in order for us not to fall into a trap of deception. To do that we must speak up about it. We must warn others regarding the lies and untruths, this is wisdom and understanding. To not do this is ignorance, foolishness, and unwise.
“34 But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
“22 Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it.
But the correction of fools is folly.”
“13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding”
Jesus Himself uncovered many deceptions, lies and untruths during His ministry. Most of which centered around the Scribes and the Pharisees, calling them hypocrites, blind guides, serpents, brood of vipers, saying that they: “appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness“ and “you are like graves which are not seen“.
“31 Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. 33 Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?”
“14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”
“13 But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.”
The fact is that I post many articles which are difficult for some people to handle. Articles which expose much evil in the world, much deception, lies, and untruths. I do this for a reason, to warn people, to uncover the deception, and hopefully to prevent many from going astray and falling into a trap! Also to wake people up to the reality of the time that we are living in. We all need to prepare for the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ!
We are living in the end times my friends, like it or not. I know that I keep stating this over and over again, but the evil and wickedness in the world is growing faster each and everyday! While the tensions between Israel and the Palestinians in Gaza seem to have quieted down, don’t let that fool you. This is merely the “quiet before the storm”. I feel that things are about to get much worse in the world.
If you disagree with me on my feelings and beliefs, then we shall disagree. It’s your choice to make. I will not force anyone to believe what I write or to follow Jesus. I can only tell you the “Good News” about Jesus, it’s your choice to make. No coercion, no violence, no hatred. God loves you all, I love you as well. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you too shall have eternal peace and salvation!
God Bless my friends, until next time!
