Commentary By: Gordon King
Truth. What’s the truth? What’s a lie? Most things are either true or they are a lie. However, some things seem to fall into the category of somewhat true or somewhat a lie. For instance, you may say that the grass is green, but there may actually be brown spots, so all of the grass is not green. So to say that all of the grass is green would be a lie, since you are not telling the whole truth, however, to say that some of the grass is green would be the truth.
The same goes with religion, so they say. Many people believe that there are many ways to heaven. I say that this is a lie. I say that there is only one way to heaven and that way is accepting God as your savior. They say “I do believe in a god”. However, there is only one true God, Jesus Christ! So to say that you put your faith in god, does not mean that you are going to heaven. You must repent of your sins and believe in and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord. Any other god will not do. There is no other way. I know that I will get some flak over this statement from unbelievers, but I must speak the truth.
‘3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” ‘
No other god has been around since before the creation of the earth or man, none. Only the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob! Elohim, El Shaddai, Jehovah! The god of the Muslims has been around since about 610 AD when Muhammad had his first so-called revelation. Where was he before that? If he is truly god then surely someone else before that time would have known about him? Right?! Yet, this was the first time anyone had ever heard of Muhammad and his god Allah.
How do other gods save us? What is the redemptive plan of other religions? Please tell me because I would like to know? So far I haven’t heard of any, except by our works. If this is true, then how do we know when we have accomplished enough works? How do we keep track of our works? Is it merely by faith? If so, then we would never truly know if we had any salvation or not.
Faithful Muslims believe that killing non-believers, beheading them, crucifying them, imprisoning them, and torturing them, will save them a spot in heaven where they are promised 72 virgins. That by their evil works, they are saved! By shedding the blood of innocent, law-abiding citizens, including children, they shall go to heaven. Something is just not right here! What kind of god is that?! Not one that I want any part of.
Jesus Christ is the only one who can save us by His grace, not by our works. We are saved by the blood of Jesus, not by the blood of innocent victims. It’s a free gift. If we truly repent of our sins, and accept Him as our Lord and Savior then we shall be saved! That’s it! Then we know that we have salvation. There is no second guessing, no keeping track of our works, whether they be good or bad.
The prophet Isaiah tells us that our good works are as filthy rags.
“6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”
Then how is it that we could even earn enough to get us into heaven? We couldn’t, that’s the point. Our good works would never be enough. That does not mean that our good works are not actually good. But, that they will never amount to enough to earn us salvation, they are as filthy rags compared to the righteousness of God. Not only that, but we are still sinners, and we are blemished by our sin. This in and of itself would be enough not to warrant salvation through our works.
Do not be deceived, do not be fooled. There is much deception in the world today, much evil, which will lead many astray. I urge you to not believe what other religions are telling you. The Islamic religion will tell lies, twist the truth, to get you to believe them. They will tell you that the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob is a violent God, that He ordered the execution of thousands of people in the Old Testament. Therefore, how is that any different from the Quran? Really?! Who are they trying to kid?
Of course the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob ordered the execution of thousands of people. It’s no secret if you have ever read or studied the bible. But why? Why on earth would He do that? If you are not a Christian, then you may never understand.
It’s very difficult to explain in a paragraph or two, you must study scripture. You must read and understand, understanding which only comes from God Himself. There is much about God that we don’t understand, our ways are not His ways, and our thoughts are not His thoughts. However, many, if not most of the people during that time were very evil. Very sinful, lustful, and demonic in their ways. They turned against God and followed false idols, burned children as sacrifices to their false gods. So of course God called for their annihilation by the Jews. However, the Jews did not always listen or do exactly as the Lord commanded them to do. In fact many of the Jews adopted the ways of the Gentiles (non-Jews).
Their were also giants in those days, the Nephilim. As in the days of Noah before the Great Flood. They were inbred with fallen angels. Their DNA was polluted. Evil, wicked, sinful, and against the only true God of the universe. They were so bad that God was sorry that He ever created man. So He sent a Great Flood to destroy all of the wicked, all but Noah and his family.
“4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”
My point is, that the Muslim religion is evil, hateful, violent, and aggressive. To compare it to Christianity is absurd! Jesus did not teach His followers to murder, behead, crucify, imprison, or torture non-believers. On the contrary, Jesus tells us to love our enemies. We are not to take vengeance, for vengeance belongs to the Lord.
“19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.”
The truth is, that I am speaking the truth! Many shall read and hear, yet many will read and not hear, nor shall they understand. For understanding comes from the Lord. If one is not a believer, then it is up to God to open their eyes and give them understanding.
“6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding”
2 Timothy 2:7
“7 Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.“
It’s not for me to convince an unbeliever into believing the truth, that belongs to the Lord. I’m merely a messenger of the truth. My job is to share the truth, the “Good News” about Jesus Christ. The Lords job is to lead them to salvation and give them eternal life! If I share with someone the gospel of Jesus Christ, it’s not up to me to make them believe. I will not force them or try to coerce them into believing or accepting Jesus.
True Muslims will attempt to force non-believers into conversion or death! Do you know what the world “Islam” actually means?
The following is from: “WikiIslam”
The word Islam derives from the Arabic triconsonantal root sīn-lām-mīm (SLM [ س ل م ]). Many different words are created from this root word by inserting different vowels between the three root consonants. Many English speakers wrongly assume that if two Arabic words share the same root word then their meanings are related when in reality the fact that some words share the same root word does not imply a relationship between the meanings of the words. For instance, all of these words are derived from the root S-L-M:
That’s right, it means “submission”. The very nature of their religion is to submit, taken literally by true believers of the faith. They expect non-believers to submit or die. This is not what Jesus means when He tells us to submit to God and to one another. He commands us to submit, however He does not force us into submission. We do it out of our love for Him. Of our own free will!
With truth comes understanding, understanding from reading and hearing the word of God. This is true for believers in Christ, however, not for unbelievers. That is only at the will of our Father in heaven, to open the eyes of the blind.
Seek the truth and you shall find it.
9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”
The Lord is good, He is wise, He is loving and forgiving. He loves everyone. For everyone who believes in the name of Jesus Christ shall be saved.
“16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.“
To those who can hear let them hear this: Jesus Christ is the truth, He is the life, and He is the way, the only way!
God Bless my friends, until next time, the good Lord willing!
