(SOURCE) A preliminary-magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck southern Peru on Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter of the temblor, which hit at 4:21 p.m. Pacific Time, was located at a depth of 37 miles, the Geological Survey said. It was located 26 miles east-northeast of Tambo and 293 miles southeast of Lima, Peru’s largest city.
