Are you afraid of what is happening in the world today? There is an answer!

Jesus loves youCommentary By:  Gordon King

There are many reasons to fear what is happening in the world today.  From an increased number of earthquakes to disastrous storms, from wildfires out of control to droughts and floods.  Starvation increasing around the world, diseases out of control, and mass animal die offs.  From wars and rumors of wars, from terrorism and chaos.  Increased violence and hatred to governments gone bad.

Yes, there are many reasons to be afraid right now.  And there seem to be many more with each passing day.  The evil and wickedness in our world is high, but it will get much worse than it is now.  Believe me when I say this, for it is true.  Government leaders will try to tell you different, try to lead you to believe that they have the answers.  Well my friends, they do not!  This is a deception and a lie.

Do you feel helpless, hopeless?  Does the world seem to be closing in around you?  If it does, then you are not alone.  Many more people feel the same way.  They have lost all hope, many have given up.  Some have taken their own lives, some turn to alcohol and drugs.  Many more turn to false gods, witchcraft and sorcery.  Do not be led down this path, for it only leads to death and destruction.

What I am about to tell you is the truth.  There is a way out.  There is hope.  There is in fact, only one way out, and that way is Jesus Christ!  Yes I said it, Jesus Christ.  He is the only one true God of the universe my friends.  Do not be deceived into thinking anything else.  There is “no other way” but by the blood of Jesus.

John 14:6  Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

One concept of life that is very difficult for most humans to understand is that God is composed of a trinity.  The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Jesus is the Son of God, born into this physical world of a virgin birth.  He came to give life and to save the lost from eternal death (Hell forever).  This is the truth.

If we do not accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, then we shall literally burn in Hell (Hades) for all eternity.  That is a very, very long time.  You shall be eternally separated from God forever.  You shall thirst and not be quenched, you shall be alone and not find friendship, you shall be tormented day and night by demons.  You will understand what it means to be separated from your creator.  It is and shall be “Hell”!

Luke 16:19-31 (NKJV)

The Rich Man and Lazarus

19 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’

27 “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ 29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  God requires a price to be paid for our sin.  The Jews used animal sacrifice for thousands of years, yet it was not enough.  So God sent His Son Jesus to be sacrificed for us.  To pay for our sins.  This is the only way for us to be forgiven.  For us to be found righteous enough to be in the presence of the Lord.

John 3:16 (NKJV)

16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

But, you may say, when I die I will just tell God how good of a person that I was.  That I did not steal or murder, that I did good things for many people, and that will get me into heaven.  Well my friends, do not be deceived into believing that, for it is not true.  For none of us are good enough to get into heaven, we are all sinners.  The only one ever found spotless and sinless was Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV)

8 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,”

Romans 3:23 (NKJV)

23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

1 Peter 2 (NKJV)

21 ‘For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

22 “Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth”

So don’t think that because you are a good person or that you have not committed murder, theft or adultery, that you will get to heaven because of it.  For this is a lie.  For all have sinned, yes every last one of us.  The only way to heaven is by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  No other gods, not through meditation, idol worship, or good works!  There is no other way!

Jesus can save you.  He can help you and see you through difficult times.  With Jesus there is no reason to fear or be afraid.  When you have Jesus, He is always with you.  We all struggle with difficult times, with hardship and disasters.  All of us.  But with God, all things are possible.  He is not only our creator, but our savior, our friend, our confidant, our ally, our Father, our healer, and our helper.  He can take away your pain and suffering, heal your afflictions, and give you peace and comfort.  All according to His will for us in our lives.

Jesus was crucified on a cross, shed His precious blood to save us and cleanse us, was buried in a tomb for 3 days, then arose and ascended into heaven to be with the Father.  This is true.

Believe this, repent of your sins, and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.  He loves you dearly and wants to save you from eternal death.  He wants to help you and be your friend.  No matter what you have done, who you have hurt, He will do this if you accept His free gift of salvation.  Don’t wait another minute, you may not have many left!

God Bless my friends, until next time!

  1. Very well said Gordan. I believe in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. He alone is our way out of this decaying planet.
    Maranatha!
May He continue to bless you.

  2. Thank you. I’m training my mind, visualizing, focusing if you will, Jesus’ returning in the clouds with the host of angels –what a scene. This visualization will keep hope alive and the worries of this world at bay. So the next time you feel sad, lonely, ill, mistreated keep this in mind. You’ll confuse people with the giant smile on your face….
