False Teachers, False Prophets, Antichrists

false teachers, false prophets, antichrists copy

Commentary By:  Gordon King

Evil, wickedness, lies and deception are at an all time high.  They are building upon each other and festering like a septic pool of filth and waste.

You only need to look around you to see it all happening now.  Don’t take what I say as the truth without first checking it out and testing it against the word of God.  Don’t take what anyone else tells you to be the truth unless you first test it against the word of God also.  There are many people leading others into lies and deceptions.  Many who may seem to be telling the truth, but in fact are wolves in sheep’s clothing.

Matthew 7:15

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.”

We must all be aware of false teachers and false prophets, for many will come in the name of Christ proclaiming that they know the truth, but the truth is not in them.  We must test all spirits, for there are many antichrists among us.

1 John 4:1-3

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.”

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

“For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.”

There are many who may try to captivate you by their own philosophy leading to destruction.  Do not be deceived!

Colossians 2:8

“See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.”

Let us not boast in our own wisdom, for this is foolishness to God.  God uses the foolish to teach the wise.

Jeremiah 9:23

‘Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches,” ‘

1 Corinthians 3:18-20

‘Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,” and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” ‘

The message of the cross is foolishness to the unbelieving.

1 Corinthians 1:17-26

“For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.” Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.”

Don’t be led by the world, but instead be transformed by the renewal of your mind through Christ Jesus.  For He is the way, the truth, and the life!

Romans 12:2

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

The wisdom of man is folly and will lead to destruction, but the wise man will listen to the Lord and follow His ways.  The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, but the fool despises wisdom.

Proverbs 10:8

“The wise of heart will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin.”

Proverbs 3:7

“Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.”

Proverbs 14:16

“One who is wise is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is reckless and careless.”

2 Timothy 2:7

“Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.”

Proverbs 1:7

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

We are living in the end times my friends.  There shall be an increase in false teachers, false prophets, and antichrists.  Christian persecution will only increase to the end.  Be wary of what you hear and test all things according to the word of God.

God Bless!

  1. Thank you Gordan, in letting the Scriptures speak. Falsehood is everywhere, the truth is hidden from fools who proclaim anything but, they’re hearts aren’t open to the grace of God thereby believing the lie. Sad, very sad. WE need true conversion. True conversion is from within, a surrender of self to God. A partnership with Jesus thru his Holy Spirit that guides us through all truths, helps us truly know God’s ways. Helps us when we’re at our lowest point, re-energizes us in faith through His word and constant prayer. True conversion is not a chore it’s wanting to do good, wanting to please and follow Jesus. Living a righteous life – daily. Knowing heaven is our goal!
We struggle against principalities that only the word of God can keep at bay, Anything less will snarl you into believing the lie.
Time is short, probation is NOW, accepting Jesus Christ as our personal savior is crucial now more then ever; He is truth, He is the way to eternal life where love rules. Perilous times are multiplying, we need to be steadfast in our faith. Trust God above all things! May His blessing continual to keep us strong. Happy 4th to this Christian nation that has lost her way. I pray for my country and its people to recognize the Creator of heaven and earth and all therein… In Jesus’ name. Amen.

  2. Hi Gordon, haven’t posted a reply lately but have been keeping up on every one of your articles. I just stand agast at the lightening speed that is propelling this world and particularly the mid-east around Israel to the climatic end times events. The return of Jesus is now on a fast track, no turning back, no slowing down, the gates of hell will not prevent Him and the church is not prepared. There will be an awakening but it will not be the kind the church is expecting, it will be a “dark awakening” after it is too late, I sense the evil violence and mayhem that is coming to the streets and neighborhoods in our nation. The economy will fail, the electricity and water and food and infrastructure will fail and people will turn into some sort of hybrid demonic human animal worse than those in the ISIS movement. The Prespitarian church has slapped Israel in the face withdrawing funding support for 3 companies doing business in Israel. The United Methodist church has agreed to marry same sex couples. The church is looked at as some kind of social status club and not as the Spiritual body of Christ striving to live in sanctified holiness. As Noah and his 7 were only safe inside the Ark, then so are we only safe in Jesus. I’m praying for the salvation of the lost before it is too late.
    Love you brother in Christ.

  3. Hey Ethin, I hope and pray that all is well with you my friend. Yes I see these things happening as well, and the speed at which they are occuring is almost mind boggling! The falling away of the church has begun. God Bless!

  4. WHY DO CHURCH LEADERS QUOTE MEN WHO TEACH DOCTRINE CONTRARY TO SCRIPTURE? BY STEVE FINNELL

Why do preachers of the gospel quote men who pervert the Scriptures? Why would you ever quote these men in a positive light? Why would church leaders ever believe men who teach and preach doctrine contrary to Scripture are worthy of being quoted.

Max Lucado Quote: “We never taught–the buzzphrase is baptismal regeneration, where you go into the baptistery lost and come out saved. We never taught that. Now, I am not saying there were not people in our church who believed that…”

Water baptism is essential to salvation. (Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, Acts 22:16, 1 Peter 3:21).

Why would any serious church leader quote Max Lucado in a positive light?

John Piper Quote: “We are not saying that final salvation is unconditional. It is not. We must meet the condition of faith in Christ in order to inherit eternal life. But faith is not a condition for election. Just the reverse. Election is a condition for faith. It is because God chose us before the foundation of the world that he purchases our redemption at the cross and quickens us with irresistible grace and brings us to faith.”

God want all men to be saved and all men have that choice.(2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.)(NKJV)

Why would a preacher of the gospel quote John Piper in a positive light?

Pope Francis Quote: “The Lord has redeemed all of us, all of us, with the blood of Christ, not just Catholics. Everyone! ‘Father, the atheists?’ Even the atheists…….”But I don’t believe, Father, I am an atheist!’ But do good: We will meet one another there.”

Good works cannot save anyone. (John 8:24 “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”)(NKJV)

How is it possible to quote Pope Francis in a positive light?

Billy Graham Quote: “….or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus but they know in their hearts that they need something that that don’t have, and they turn to the only light that they have, and I think that they are saved, and that they’re going to be in heaven.”

Can you not believe in Jesus and be saved? (John 8:24 “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”)(NKJV)

Tony Campolo Quote? “going to heaven is like going to Philadelphia… There are many ways…It doesn’t make any difference how we go there. We all end up in the same place.(Carpe Diem: Seize the Day, 1994 pages 85-88)

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.(NKJV)

Why would preachers and teachers of the gospel quote men in a positive light who pervert the gospel of Christ?

    Why not just quote Scriptures?
