Commentary by: Gordon King
Trust the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, and soul. Keep your faith strong and your heart pure. For the Lord is our provider, protector, and comforter.
5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.”
God is pure, righteous, and holy. He never lies, never fails, and keeps all of His promises to us.
1 Corinthians 1:9
9 “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
By faith we are saved, by faith we shall endure. For without faith we cannot believe or trust in God.
22 ‘So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.”‘
6 “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
There will be many times in the life of a believer when he or she shall be brought to their knees in pain, sorrow and misery. It is very easy to distrust our Lord and loose our faith. But, it is vitally important for every believer to keep their faith and trust in the Lord.
When times are tough and life seems hopeless, the Lord your God is with you. He shall guide you and lead you down the righteous path.
When you feel alone and deserted, the Lord your God is with you. He knows your pain, is aware of your circumstances and wants nothing more than your happiness.
With faith all things are possible. We are children of the Most High God of the Universe. We are a chosen people, of a royal priesthood, a holy nation. We are special people. We are the personal possession of God Almighty Himself!
1 Peter 2:9
9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”
So the next time you encounter difficulties in life, remember who you are, and who you belong to. With God all things are possible.
Give thanks unto the Lord in all things. Praise the Lord continually. Worship the Lord God with all of your heart. Believe that He can do all things. He shall provide all of our needs. Seek first the Kingdom of God and all of these things shall be added unto you.
33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Lord in heaven please hear my prayer. You are worthy of my praise and worship oh Lord. Without you I am nothing, but with you I am Your priest, Your ambassador, and Your child. I am Yours and I thank you each and everyday for that. I thank you for Your patience and Your mercy upon me. I thank you for all that You do for me and all that You provide for me oh Lord. Thank you God, thank you! Amen
