Commentary by: Gordon King
Fellow believers and followers of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, may peace, gentleness, kindness, mercy and forgiveness be forever in your hearts. Amen
We shall endure to the end. The end of an age. The end of a season for people to come unto the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and eternal life. We shall encounter much evil and wickedness in the days to come. Prepare now, stand tall and take a stand for your savior!
Our time is short and our mission is direct. We are to serve our Lord with all of our heart, all of our mind, and all of our soul. To pick up our cross and follow the one and only God of the universe. To spread the gospel throughout all of the nations. To become more Christ like in action, deed, and in spirit.
The road ahead of us is a narrow path, a path which leads to eternal life. Yet, all around us are detours, highways and distractions. Let us remain true and faithful to our Creator. Faithful and true to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
We need to encourage one another out of love, kindness, mercy and forgiveness. Just as our Father in Heaven loves and encourages us. He is our light, our role model, and our King.
The ways of the world are wicked and deceitful. Many shall fall victim to its many snares and traps. Many shall be lead astray into the darkness. Much of what we see happening in the world today is a result of spiritual warfare.
Spiritual warfare is real and is happening now, even as I write. The angels against the demons. The good against the bad. Much of this warfare manifests itself into the physical dimension. We see it come to pass in murder, rape, hatred, violence, crime, and evil. We see it manifest itself into wicked and evil schemes, lying politicians, and governments gone bad. We see it in religion, and the falling away of the church. There are some religions which promote hate, violence, evil, murder and persecution through their doctrine. All in the name of religion!
Evil forces are at work attempting to spread their agenda upon vulnerable souls. People without faith and hope, and yes, even upon people of the faith, through doubt, worry and fear.
Let us be strong, courageous, faithful and true. Put on the full armor of God. Prepare yourself for battle.
The Whole Armor of God
10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—”
Let us not fight amongst one another, but instead encourage each other with peace, kindness, love, mercy and forgiveness. For these are the fruits of the Holy Spirit of God.
The world is watching, they can see what Christians are like. Let us give them a reason to be in awe and wonder!
The lost are afraid of what is happening in the world today. They have no idea of what is occurring, what will come next, and what they should now be doing. This is a perfect time for us to share our love with them, to plant a seed of the gospel of Jesus Christ!
I pray for the saints in the world today. For peace, protection, encouragement, wisdom, discernment, and courage! Amen
God Bless Everyone!
