
(SOURCE) WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) — Icy road conditions overnight and early Sunday morning led to multiple car accidents in the central part of Massachusetts, including a massive accident that caused three tractor trailers and more than 70 cars, according to Mass. State Police.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., state police tweeted that more than 70 cars, two tractor trailers and a box truck piled up on a 100-yard stretch of I-290 westbound. Police closed the road and expected it would stay closed through most of the morning while cars were towed away and the roads were cleaned up.
