This is a very interesting article.  On my way to work yesterday morning, I noticed two very strange looking clouds.  They were very long and looked like snakes.  One of them was twisted, while the other was straight.  I have never seen clouds like these ever before in my lifetime.  Then this morning, I came across this article.  I live in Washington state, nowhere near Portland.  They did not look like plane’s contrails to me.  You decide.

A meteorologist for local KOIN-TV said he solved the mystery.

Bruce Sussman said it was nothing more than an impressive-looking contrail, a trail of smoke left by a plane or jet.

  3. Recently a meteor/fireball struck in Russia and did some real damage. There is something changing that we should all be aware of and that is how the number of “fireballs/meteors” are increasing.
The American Meteor Society’s data shows that in 2005 there were 467 fireball events reported,, as of the beginning of 2013 there have already been 2957 reported sightings.
