(SOURCE) A man in his late 20s managed to break through a security checkpoint at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport tonight and run all the way into an unoccupied airplane.
Sea-Tac Airport spokesman Perry Cooper said the man, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs, ran through a security checkpoint and down Concourse D at about 8:30 p.m. While police and Transportation Security Administration officers chased him, he managed to run to an airplane ramp area.
The man broke the window of a code-locked door to enter the jet way and then ran into an unoccupied American Airlines plane. Officers, who he assaulted, struggled to subdue him in the plane but were able to take him into custody.
