Sirens heard in communities surrounding Strip; comes hours after Israel names 26 Palestinian prisoners set to go free, including 5 Gazans

Two rockets from the Gaza Strip were fired at Israel in the early hours of Monday morning, setting off sirens in Ashkelon and in areas surrounding the Strip. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

The Iron Dome defense system successfully intercepted one of the rockets aimed at Ashkelon, the IDF said early Monday.

 A second rocket fell in an open area in the area, and troops were dispatched to search for the impact site.

There were no injuries or damage reported.
