(SOURCE)  A former middle school principal in Fayetteville N.C. was arrested Friday after he was accused of committing sexual acts with students at two separate schools.

According to WTVD, David Ellis Edwards, 49, was charged with two counts of second-degree forcible sex offense, two counts of sexual acts with a student, and five counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor.

At least one of the crimes were reportedly committed while Edward met with a student in his office as the boy’s parent unknowingly waited outside of the room.

Three alleged victims have been identified by detectives — the victims, who are between 11 and 14 years old, told police officers that they were touched inappropriately or forced to participate in sexual acts with the former principal.

The incidences allegedly occurred between 2009 to 2011 on two campuses – Douglas Byrd Middle School and Ramsey Street Alternative.

The news station reports that according to their sources, Edwards was also a pastor at First Missionary Baptist Church in St. Pauls.

Edwards resigned from his position six weeks ago, citing his reason to pursuing educational opportunities. The school system was unaware of the pending investigation at the time.

  1. CHURCH LEADERS AND TRUTH? BY STEVE FINNELL

The sad fact is that church leaders are often the last people to accept the words of Jesus as the truth.

John 12:42-43 Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God. (NASB)

Do church leaders today reject the truth because they fear being ostracized and put out of the church?

John 12:48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him, the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.(NASB)

Men will be judged by the words of Jesus at the last day. All new testament Scripture spoken by Jesus and the apostles is the word of Jesus.

Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved….(NASB)

Why do some church leaders deny that you have to believe in order to be saved? Why do church leaders deny that you have to baptized in order to be saved?

They loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God!

1 Corinthians 6:10 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.(NASB)

Why do church leaders not teach and preach that unrepentant Christians will not inherit the kingdom of God?

They loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God!

Matthew 4:9 Then Jesus said to him, “Go Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God , and serve Him only.'” (NASB)

Why do church leaders deny that praying to the Virgin Mary and other dead saints is an act of worship? Why do some church leaders claim they do not pray to the Virgin Mary nor to others?

They loved the approval men rather than the approval of God!

Most Christian do not know if what they are being taught conforms to the Scriptures.
