‘Possessed’ mom in Toronto allegedly beats her boy nearly to death

An 11-year-old Tornoto boy was fighting for his life Friday after his mother allegedly beat him nearly to death, police said.

Officers found the boy lying facedown on the 12th-floor apartment’s balcony, and there were reports a refrigerator had been slammed onto him.

The child was listed in critical condition at Sick Kids Hospital with severe head injuries.

An 11-year-old boy is clinging to life at a hospital in Toronto being severely beating by his mother and sister, police say.

A passerby told police he heard a woman inside the apartment screaming she was going to beat the child “to death.”

 The mother, who was not identified, was handcuffed and led from the high-rise building on the west side of Toronto, where neighbors said she was reciting the Lord’s Prayer and blowing kisses to bystsanders from the back of a patrol car, the Toronto Sun reported.

Another female, believed to be the victim’s sister, was also arrested but was later released.

Toronto police responded to a whispered 911 call to find 11-year-old boy facedown on the balcony and savagely beaten.

Neighbor Samuel Jeon said he heard children in the apartment saying their mother was “possessed by the devil.”

Two other children, ages 6 and 8, were taken from the apartment and placed in protective custody.

Police were summoned by a whispered 911 call. It was not known who made the call, officers said.
