Police issue Amber Alert for missing infant

Man last seen Friday evening near Prudential Center in Boston


BOSTON —Massachusetts State Police have issued an Amber Alert for a missing newborn baby. 

Police tell NewsCenter 5 the child was taken from a vehicle while the child’s mother was inside the Coldstone Creamery at the Prudential Center Friday night.

The man fled in the vehicle with the infant in the back seat. Police say the infant is not his and he does not have permission from the infant’s mother to have the child.

The boy is believed to be in a gray Infinity with Mass. license plate 637SM3.

Police are looking for Damond Brown, 40, of 444 Harrison Ave. in Boston.

Brown is described as a black man, 6 feet 1 inches tall, 255 pounds, with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, grey shorts, and white and green sneakers.

The infant is identified as Jayden Warren, a 7-month-old black male, weighing 19 pounds. Jayden was last seen wearing Disney movie “Cars”-themed pajamas and white socks.

The vehicle was last seen around 7:48 p.m. in the area of 94 Belvidere Street in the South End.

According to Massachusetts State Police, Brown is reportedly in a domestic relationship with Jayden’s mother, however Jayden is not Brown’s biological father.

Police say Brown was not given permission to take Jayden from the 94 Belvidere St location.
