Israel arrests 11 Palestinians in West Bank raids


NABLUS (Ma’an) — Israeli forces detained 11 Palestinians in overnight raids across the West Bank early on Monday, according to locals and an Israeli security official.

Residents and a military spokeswoman told Ma’an that Israeli forces detained three Palestinians from the Nablus area. The residents said two were detained from inside the city and another in the nearby Balata refugee camp.

The two from Nablus were identified as Ahmad Mare Hawash, 21, and Firas Hawash, 22. The detainee from Balata was identified as Moyad Hanoun, 24.

The army official said that in addition to the Palestinians in Nablus, soldiers arrested two in Qalqiliya, five in a village near Ramallah, and another in Qalandiya.
